Meet the Princess of the Broncos

The name is Ashley, Princess Ashley.
I’m just under 6 feet or close to that and I am very athletic. I was born in the heart of Denver, Colorado at Rose Hospital. I almost died at birth and had to spend about 10 days on an oxygen tank. Lived in Colorado for the first 7 years of my life then I was painfully forced by the Jaws of Life to move to the middle of nowhere… the state of misery, Missouri. Yes, it really is that bad! haha I’m serious!

Anyway, here a few fun facts about the Princess. I am an only child and the only person in my entire family that has no siblings. I’ve been to 6 different countries and 19 different states (including Colorado and Missouri) and Washington D.C. I collect shot glasses whenever I go somewhere (for a vacation) I haven’t been to before, a tradition my dad started. My dad taught me how to play the piano and I learned all I know about cooking from him as well.

I’m one of the most Conservative Christians you’ll ever meet. I believe in Jesus Christ and love Him with all my heart. I want to devote my life and career to Him, whatever He chooses for me. I want nothing more than to serve Him.

So I’ve lived in Kansas City, with all these “lovely” Chiefs fans for about 15 years now. Went to a private Christian school for my 2nd grade year… long story short, the teacher hated me (literally hated me, why I don’t know) and I didn’t get along very well with the PK (preacher’s kid) so I wanted out. For the rest of my school years I was at a public school and I didn’t have to wear another stinkin’ uniform, ha!

I started playing soccer when I was 4 years old but quit for a while after my dad passed away in 1998. I came back to play my sophomore and junior years in high school as a defender and earned myself somewhat of a “mean” reputation on the field. Ahhh, good times! I also sang in the Women’s Choir at my high school for all 4 years.

I graduated from high school in 2005 and then decided to wait 2 years before going on to college. I earned an A+ scholarship to a community college, so I used that up this past spring but still have 2 more semesters left. So currently I am a college student and I recently switched to getting a business degree so I’ll be able to graduate next spring. From there, I want to go on to an Interior Design school and get an Interior Design degree.

I would love to have my own business combining Interior Design/decorating as well as event planning, (ex: birthdays, graduations, weddings, etc.). After a few years of earning some good money (hopefully), what I really want to do is serve God’s people. I’ve done a lot of research about the tragedies in Africa and I want to do something about it.

My dream job would be to take what I learned about Interior Design and go to Africa as well as other third world nations and help rebuild communities. I would love to travel with several contractors and rebuild homes, schools, community centers, hospitals, etc for nations troubled by pointless civil wars.

However, if that dream of mine doesn’t work out I’d love to follow my dad’s footsteps and become a police officer or I would absolutely love to play pro soccer and make it on the WNT and go to the Olympics. That’s always been something I’d love to pursue. I’ve also always wanted to start my own restaurant, name it after my dad and serve dishes he came up with and that are inspired by him.

Alrighty, now to the good stuff… football! So one of the questions I’m supposed to answer is how I became a Bronco fan. Honestly, I’m not sure how that happened considering my mom could care less about football (although now I’ve persuaded her to be a Bronco fan, haha) and my dad was a Packer’s fan. Yes, my dad was a cheesehead! haha

Even though my dad was a Packer fan, somehow I was born with Orange & Blue blood and the Bronco logo is forever engraved on my heart. That will never ever change. So if you know me at all before you read this you should be able to figure out who my favorite Bronco player is… yes of course THE John Elway!! Best quarterback that ever played the game if you ask me. Love me that #7!

Now for some of my favorites:
Favorite colors: Baby blue & orange
Favorite food: Pizza & Italian
Favorite restaurant: Olive Garden
Favorite dessert: Cheesecake
Favorite sports: Football and soccer
Favorite holidays: Christmas & Easter
Favorite memory of the Broncos: Elway’s first Super Bowl win. Best day EVER!

The one thing you can remember most about me is I’m my Daddy’s Little Girl. And don’t you forget it!

I am a Broncos fan, and I believe. I believe in Mile High Magic, and bleed Orange and Blue. I celebrate the Orange Crush, The Drive, & the Mile High Salute. I create the Thunder, share the common dream & will forever be a proud citizen of
Broncos Country.

  3. You said you'd put yours up after mine Doc... whatcha waitin for?? hmmmm

    ReplyDelete
  4. heres the story so you don't have to go to the link.

Well, now that one offseason NFC North quarterback drama emanating from Minneapolis has ended (we think), the football-following world needs a new one.

    Enter Vikings receiver Bobby Wade.

Wade told our pal Paul Allen of KFAN within the hour that, during an offseason trip to Vegas with Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher, Urlacher expressed a not-so-flattering opinion of new Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.

Basically, Wade said that Urlacher said that Cutler is a "pussy."

Urlacher has been the cornerstone of the Bears' defense since 2000; Cutler arrived via trade earlier this year.

We're told that a podcast of the remaks will be up soon at KFAN's web site.

We hope their hamsters are rested and fed.

  5. Nice work! "The Princess is HERE!" lol

Urlacher... lol that pretty much sums it up. Cutler has the ingredients to be a great player, but I think theres more too much water and not enough concrete mix. lol

  6. hehe, this is funny. I guess today, some lady at my mom's work is in charge of activities and fun things for kids to do at the company's annual party thing. And so she was talking to my mom and asking if she had any ideas of fun things to do and out of nowhere my mom said, well for one Ashley's birthdays we had a food fight and that could be something fun to do. And this lady just loved the idea and asked if I wanted to help... hahahahahaha. Heck yeah I do!! So I told my mom I'll only help as long as I can be in the food fight as well... and she just looked at me and was like, of course you'll get to be in it. So Doc, I'll have another food fight under my belt, you've been warned my friend!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  13. You should try eating some chicken noodle soup... it helps. And yes, drink nothing but water till you start feeling much better. Tea probably wouldn't hurt but I'm not a tea person so I couldn't tell you if it helps. lol

  23. Kinda find it hard to believe Urlacher of all people would say something like that. Not sure what to think of it... not sure if its true he said it. Honestly could care less. Like name-calling is going to solve anything.

    ReplyDelete
  24. ah ha, I win with 2 minutes to spare!!

  27. This is from Bearbacker.com:

Urlacher had this to say last Friday on ESPN 1000 in Chicago:

'Making this deal, plus we got Orlando Pace, our offense is looking really good, we have some big names on offense, which we haven't had since I've been here. We have a franchise quarterback, which we obviously haven't had. We're going in the right direction.
''He's still young [25]. I'm sure he has a lot to learn, but from what I've seen he has all the skills you want in a quarterback. He can throw the ball on the run, he can throw it from the pocket. He's got a cannon. And he can play well in cold weather, having played in Denver, so that will be important playing in Chicago.''

''He's got nothing to explain to me, they tried to trade him, and he got a little peed off about it.

''As a player, if a team talks about trading you, you would be a little mad, and he got really mad. I don't blame him one bit. ... I'm on his side, and most of the time players are on each other's side when these matters go down. He's got nothing to explain to us.''

''He'll do a great job, he's got a swagger about him which, personally, I love a quarterback who has a swagger. He's cocky, but not too cocky. I like that. I think you have to have that as your quarterback, somebody who's confident and will get the job done.''

Urlacher says he will miss Orton, who was a popular teammate.

''I have a lot of respect for Kyle Orton, he was a great teammate. He came in as a rookie and wins 10 games, gets benched the next two years, comes back last year and goes 9-6 as a starter. He's a winner.

''I hope he does really well in Denver. He's a free agent after next season, so I hope he plays his butt off and gets a big contract.''

Urlacher spoke up about his health as well.

''My neck is healthy, I didn't do any rehab -- all I did was train. I feel good, back to my normal self.''

    all quotes from chicagosuntimes.com

  28. Night night Chris.

See I knew Urlacher wouldn't resort to name calling. haha

    ReplyDelete
  29. Just woke up. Can only sleep soooo much. I didn't believe that Urlacher said it either. Not for a second.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well good morning sleepy head. hehe Feeling any better? Urlacher has too much class to stoop to that level... that's why I didn't believe it. That's why I don't believe everything I read or hear about.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nighty night, little brother.

    ReplyDelete
  32. No, I'm still running a temp. 100.6 right now. But it hasn't crested 101 so I'm ok. Just tired. I wake up about every 2-3 hours and stay up for about an hour, then sleep again.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Urlacher supports Cutler, so the punk liar who accused him of saying that should have his @ss kicked.

    ReplyDelete
  34. And that's the way it should be... teammates backing up one another.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I just wish that these fools who spread these sorry rumors would just go away. They are pathetic human beings.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Totally agree. They are pathetic and wasting their time. Just stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I know you want to chat and I wish I was up to it, but I'm only good for short periods of time before this fever makes my head throb. I'm going back to bed. Night night Ash.

    ReplyDelete
  38. That's totally fine, you need the rest. Plus I'm getting tired anyway. Night night Dave!! hehe

    ReplyDelete

  40. Aussie, the pics on the right look awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ok seriously, if no one else puts up a bio of themselves I'm going to delete mine. I mean it.

And the pics do look awesome. Nice work Aussie. Love how the only part of the horse you see at the top is its butt... guessing you did that on purpose! hahaha

  43. Hey Princess. Feeling better. Fever broke last night. Really tired, though.

As for the bio, like I said in my email, I'm not one for self reflection. I can talk about my hobbies and activities, but I don't speak much of my military days. A lot of bad memories and I'm all about moving forward. So giving a bio only tells a small, smaaall portion of my life.

Bronco#80 and mrbroncofan.... ARTICLES!!!!! Your turn. Give us some camp info from other sites, etc.. Saves us the time to have to surf the sites for the info.

I'm taking one more day off, then I'll do a profile on the current Broncos coaches.

I'll talk to you later Princess. I'll shoot you an email and say hello.

  44. Beat writer Mike Klis reports that the Broncos intend to let "the other guys picked ahead" of Knowshon Moreno sign contracts before beginning serious talks with the No. 12 overall pick.
If they stick to this, the Broncos could be waiting awhile with Michael Crabtree at No. 10 requesting top-three pay.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels isn't putting a timetable on Brandon Marshall's return to the practice field. McDaniels says Marshall is just "sore," and there's been no indication that his hip has suffered a setback. "As soon as he's ready to go he's going to be out here," McDaniels said. "Hopefully that’s going to be sooner rather than later."
    Source: Colorado Springs Gazette

Yahoo Sports reports that the Ravens "may revisit" the idea of trading for Brandon Marshall.

Teammate Bradon Stokley says he's "not worried about" Brandon Marshall becoming a distraction for the Broncos. "I know what type of person he is, and I expect 100 percent from him once he gets on the field," said Stokley.
    Source: Denver Post

Despite naming Kyle Orton the Broncos' starter in June, coach Josh McDaniels says he'll keep a close eye on Chris Simms in training camp.
"We're going to evaluate the quarterbacks just like we do every other position," McDaniels said. "If Chris is the most effective QB in our system by September, then he'll start. It's going to make Kyle a better football player."

Here is some recent news guys.

    ReplyDelete
  45. JaMarcus Russell admitted Thursday that he didn't report to Raiders training camp in ideal physical condition. Will this guy ever get it? "I'm probably a little heavy," Russell acknowledged. "But I'm not 300 pounds like you all said last year." That's too bad, because the Raiders needed a left tackle to protect Jeff Garcia's blind side.
    Source: rotoworld.com

oh and the Falcons just signed Jamie Winborn.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Nope, not good enough, bronco#80. We want to see your name on the top (it also allows for people to comment anew). You should have posted that in an article, man. We'll give you an A for effort. Ha, ha. But we still love you, man......... And no, I don't want your Bud Lite........

    ReplyDelete
  47. hey 80 do an article on yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  48. JaMarcus, -aka- "The Dough Boy" Russell needs to lay off them Twinkies. It does it every time. They should start Garcia. Russell is living in his college glory days and thinks that will work in the NFL. He has money so he doesn't care. Loser.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm happy Winborn found a home. I really liked how he played. Jamarcus Russell is so fat he broke his family tree. Jamarcus Russell is so fat he had to be babtised in the ocean. Jamarcus Russell is so fat he stands in 2 time zones. Jamarcus Russell is so fat the only pictures they have of him are taken by sattelite. Jamarcus Russell is so fat when he tried to bungee jump he took down the bridge. Jamarcus Russell is so fat he has more chins then a chinese phone book. Jamarcus Russell is so fat even Bill Gates couldn't pay for the lyposuction. Jamarcus Russell is so fat he has his own area code. Jamarcus Russell is so fat NASA declared him as a planet. don't believe me? look at the picture

    ReplyDelete
  50. Aussie, you can remove te pic of Russell whenever you want.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I do not want to see a Raiders (even the joke ones)pic on a Broncos blog unless it's got to do with a game or something. That is sacrileges.

    ReplyDelete
  52. haha, yeah I'd remove that picture of the Faider before FTR comes on here and gives you an earful Aussie... although that would funny.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Glad to hear you're feeling better Dave. I knew you would!

    ReplyDelete
  54. And someone other than Dave do an article on themselves... if there isn't one up by tomorrow I'm taking mine down. Feel like you all talked me into doing this and now none of you (with the exception of Dave) will do it. You don't have to go as personal as I did... can't believe I said some of those things but its not like its "news" to you guys, plus I can always delete some of what I wrote. As a matter of fact, I think there's one paragraph I will delete. Bugging me I put it up there.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Princess, I tried but I failed. I dodn't know where to start, I didn't know what to do, it was harder then it looked.

  57. Phonzy now has a blog at DB.com. expecting great things from him this year.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Just follow what I did Doc. Its not rocket science.

    ReplyDelete
  59. plus I also can't put a picture on.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Aussie said he could help with that and its not an excuse. I'm sure there's a picture you have that would work. Heck, I just might take my bio down tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  61. why do you want to take you're bio down so bad?

    ReplyDelete
  62. ok princess, I will start working on one right now.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I don't like that I'm the only one who's got a bio up there... its like you all backed out on me. Some of you said you'd do it too, do it!! But if not, I'll take mine down.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Don't take your article down, Ash. It makes a statement to the rest about who has the real cohones here. As for my bio, you know my views. But others might have had a less dramatic life and may share.

    ReplyDelete
  65. just posted mine. I hope you're happy now priincess, making a sick man write an article, how dare you...

    ReplyDelete
  66. Dave, just don't mention the down parts on you're life. that's what I did. I only posted the good.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I didn't make you do anything Doc... its just some of you said you'd do one so I expected you to stick by your word.

And don't try and talk Dave into doing an article.

    ReplyDelete
